"Melting Snow" Kintsugi Bowl

This one-of-a-kind, handmade Raku-fired bowl has been broken and mended in a traditional Kintsugi Kintsukuroi method, using modern materials and powdered gold brass imported from Japan.

• 5.375 inches or 13.6 centimeters wide
• 2.5 inches or 6.4 centimeters tall
• White crackle round-shaped bowl
• Broken and mended with authentic gold brass imported from Japan
• The Raku firing process creates deep colors and patterns

Materials: clay, ceramic, gold, brass, gold brass, raku, glaze, white crackle glaze, white bowl, gold seam.

Each clay piece is formed by human hands and glazed with intense color by natural resources. Much like the human race, no two are ever the same.

Our Raku-inspired Kintsugi pieces are meant to symbolize that when our ease is interrupted by trauma or pain, we can mend and bring ourselves back to beauty, often with spectacular results.

Ten percent of the sales from these pieces will be donated to two deserving charities: the National Children's Cancer Society and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

We import genuine gold brass from Japan and emulate the traditional process as closely as possible to create authentic Kintsugi pieces. Because of the metal content of these elements, our pieces are meant for display only and can not be used for food purposes.
